Though most of the tournaments were No Limit Hold'em, they also featured some Limit Hold'em, O8, and Pot Limit Omaha.

There were very few notables in this tournament which I'm sure doesn't come as much of a surprise - you simply can't expect many big names when the buy-ins are so low. Also not helping was that it was held in Reno at the same time that the Mirage Poker Showdown was running in Vegas. That said - I'll give credit where credit is due: the main event cost only $1,000 to enter, and Mile Marjonovich took down the $36,915 top prize. Mile has also placed 12th and 10th in two World Series of Poker tournament circuit events, though this was by far his largest reported cash to date.

Permalink | Email this | Comments

2006 World Poker Challenge - Final

Filed under: Tournaments, World Poker Tour, Reno
The 2006 World Poker Challenge held in Reno, Nevada, wrapped up on March 30th.
