If you are looking for tales of woe or bad beat stories, I am afraid you have come to the wrong place my friend. I have nothing but happy news this week which is certainly nice for a change. After placing 3rd in the Mookie last night I felt like I was on top of my game once again. That nasty little voice in the back of my mind that, for the past few months, has disagreed with every decision I've made at the tables (continually saying fold when I should be raising or check when I should be pushing, you know - that kind of thing) finally decided to hush and I was once again able to trust my instincts in a tournament setting. Damn does it feel good to be back again. Though I didn't want to get too excited last night, winning the WW Dot Not tonight certainly solidified the feeling for me. Time will tell if my game has actually turned around in the long run, but I really needed a reprieve from months of dismal results. When we were down to six players I was actually the shortstack for a considerable amount of time. Fortunately the blinds were low enough that I was able to wait out a dry run of cards and then pretty much went on a tear from there on out. I'd like to send out special mention to Ursus Aureus for catching his first-ever Royal Flush at our humble little tournament. I know how huge that is - so congratulations!
Also, big congrats to Iggy who placed second, and L0K1 who took down third place. Was a blast as always guys, and I look forward to next week's game - the WWDotNot Guinness Invitational. Please note - the game next Thursday night will be starting 1/2 hour earlier so hopefully that will allow some more players to register. I'll try to remind you all next week before it starts as well. See you then!

1. Congratulations on another good tourney performance - you're back to playing the way you can, and it's great to see. Keep up the good work!
