At Pocket Fives, Lee Jones issued the following statement:Hi folks -
Obviously, there are many unanswered questions at this point - we'll let you know more as time progresses.
However, there are three important things that we can tell you right now:
1. Your money is completely safe at PokerStars. It's kept in a segregated account at one of the largest banks in Europe.
2. You do, and will, have 24/7 access to your account funds. You will always be able to get to your money.
3. We have not made a decision one way or another as regards closing our American accounts.
The other thing that I can promise is that we'll keep the lines of communication open to forums such as these. Stay tuned.
Best regards,
Lee Jones
Though I have many friends who work for PokerStars, including Lee, I don't have any further inside knowledge about future plans. This is obviously a very volatile and complicated issue for us all, and I'm sure all the online gaming companies have their best attorneys working overtime to determine what the future of online gaming is for all of us. I've found this thread at 2+2 to be the most level-headed, mature, useful and informative on the entire Internets.

1. Wil,
Just a thought here...
For us players who play in your tourney (and pretty much only play in your tourney) maybe you can drop the buy-in down a bit until alternative fundings come about. I need to reload after payday, but am afraid to. Others in the same boat??? As it stands I can play another 3 WWdN tourneys before I am done.
Just a thought!
