The TV final table for the WPT Championships is set for Monday. James Van Alstyne is the current chipleader.

The winner of this event gets a very sweet payout of $3,760,165. Second and third place money is pretty nice too. Here are the top 4 payouts:

1st - $3,760,165
2nd - $1,903,950
3rd - $1,025,205
4th - $659,120

Vanessa Rousso was the TV final table bubble girl. She finished in 7th place and won $263,625.

Phil Hellmuth busted out of this event in 50th place. He lost to a bad beat. James Van Alstyne cracked Hellmuth's set when he turned a flush. Poor Phil!

Former Cardsquad writer, Erica Schoenberg, did very well in this event until she was eliminated in 16th place. She won $117,165 for her efforts.

1. The winner of this event gets a very sweet payout of $3,760,165- it's more than sweet. WHo is sponsoring the competition. So much money at stake I think that these players do nothing but just practice 8 hours a day or more.

3. If you're wondering where all of that money is coming from, well, it's coming from the players themselves. They each have to buy in to the event. I think the buy-in for this one is $25k. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

4. I've played with Davidson Matthew before at the Canadian Poker Championship. He was good! I thought he was going to win, but I heard he tilted off his stack after another player showed him a bluff.

I also know the TV can get to people (I played the TV table at the CPC) and they can get crazy trying to showoff or whatever. It should be interesting seeing him at the final table for sure.
