The 2006 Winnin' O' the Green poker
tournament has been running since March 1st at the Bicycle Casino in
California, and will culminate with a $2,500 buy-in championship event which begins this Friday. Seems strange that
nowadays $2,500 sounds like a small amount for a main event, doesn't it? Anyways...In the $1,000 buy-in event yesterday, Michael 'The Grinder' Mizrachi won yet another tournament, this time beating his twin brother Eric Mizrachi who finished in second, and John Bonetti who placed third.
Other notables:
On Monday, Mel Judah took down the $500 Seven Card Stud tournament, outlasting a field of 63 players to claim $12,600 in first place prize money.
Tim
Phan won the $1,500 event which ran between March 19/20, winning $103,2000. David Tran placed first in the $200 M.A.D.D. Charity Event held on March 18th, claiming $47,565. ($20 from each entry went towards the charity.)
