Party Upgrades Software

Okay, everyone knows that I am a PokerStars player. Long before I was a member of Team PokerStars, I was playing there, because I think it's the best site in the universe, with the best software, support, and tournament structure.

I have a ton of friends who work for Full Tilt, and I've fooled around a bit with their Macintosh client, (which is very nice, Macheads) but PokerStars is my home.

However, I know that a LOT of people sign up for Party Poker (with Bonus Code IGGY, of course) so this news should make you guys happy.

Via Chris Halverson's blog, I just found out that Party upgraded their software:

One of the big complaints about Party is their software. Today, however, they released a major upgrade. Could Party finally be getting it? A couple features:
  • Resizable tables
  • SNGs – Starting chips go from T800 to T2000! The levels are now time based (10 mins) instead of hand based. This finally brings the Party SNGs to a level of the other major sites.
  • Evidently the end of data mining
So there ya go. If you're a Party Player, welcome to 2004! Everyone else, come and play with me on PokerStars every Thesday and Thursday (except for tonight, because I'm watching Holy Grail with my kids.)

Late Update: Wes (aka Boobie Lover) has weighed in with his own review of the upgrade:

Here is my detailed review.
  • It sucks
Enjoy!

Well, there you have it, folks. See you at PokerStars!
