Okay, everyone knows that I am a PokerStars
player. Long before I was a member of Team PokerStars, I was playing there, because I think
it's the best site in the universe, with the best software, support, and tournament structure.I have a ton of friends who work for Full Tilt, and I've fooled around a bit with their Macintosh client, (which is very nice, Macheads) but PokerStars is my home.
However, I know that a LOT of people sign up for Party Poker (with Bonus Code IGGY, of course) so this news should make you guys happy.
Via Chris Halverson's blog, I just found out that Party upgraded their software:
One of the big complaints about Party is their software. Today, however, they released a major upgrade. Could Party finally be getting it? A couple features:
- Resizable tables
- SNGs – Starting chips go from T800 to T2000! The levels are now time based (10 mins) instead of hand based. This finally brings the Party SNGs to a level of the other major sites.
- Evidently the end of data mining
Late Update: Wes (aka Boobie Lover) has weighed in with his own review of the upgrade:
Here is my detailed review.
- It sucks
Well, there you have it, folks. See you at PokerStars!

1. I haven't played on Party Poker (yet, although I have considered it because of all the fish that are reported to play there). But from what I have heard about it, wouldn't a more precise review of the new version be, "It *still* sucks"?
Nevertheless, I may give it a try, if only to see if the games are as soft as rumor has it.
