Andy Beal is Down Over $2 Million

On Wednesday, I put up a post about Texas billionaire Andy Beal and his current trip to Las Vegas. Andy decided to take on Doyle Brunson’s crew again and Card Player Magazine is tracking his progress.

According to Card Player, Andy Beal is currently down about $2.8 million since he landed in town on Wednesday. I’m not sure if Andy returned for play today. I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

They’re playing $50,000 - $100,000 limit Hold’em. Both sides bought in for $10 million and the event is taking place at the Wynn poker room. Don’t get too excited because the area is closed off to the public.

Supposedly Todd Brunson was first up in the rotation on Wednesday. He ended up losing around $1 million which is a shock since he cleaned out Andy the last time.

Day 2 started with Jennifer Harman and finished with Ted Forrest. Combined they lost about $1 million to Andy.

Ted Forrest kicked off Friday’s heads up match and walked away from the table almost $5 million ahead. What a huge swing! Andy Beal went from being up $2 million for the trip to being down over $2.5 million. Ouch!

Saturday’s play ended with no significant money change. Sunday's session was pretty short due to the Super Bowl. Check out Card Player Magazine for more details.

1. Damn, that's only 20 big bets. I can only imagine the sum of money involved if one of them goes through a really bad streak.

4. These people have way too much money Give me $5 grand and my son back from Iraq and I will play these guys tandem. Both my son and I have done enough for our country. And yet we are just "little people." Go figure. Please pray for our troops when you push your chips in. Bob

5. About a year and a half ago, I saw Andy Beal and Phil Ivy heads up at the Bellagio with 100/200k bets. Ivy was down about 5 million at that time. They were playing with the same chips per bet as I play---except they were using $25k chips and I play $4/8

I wish the high rollers throwing away millions would help me with a down payment on a house......LOL...Im a small time holdm player but couldnt see myself dumpin millions on a card game.....I think that I would find more pleasure in helping people out....I guess thinking like that doesnt get u rich though....

13. 2.8 million is a drop in a bucket for Beal. He has enough money to cover the blinds, so all he has to do is go all in, on every hand.
