I really enjoy reading Mike Caro's articles over at Poker Player Newspaper. He has a section called
"A Word from the Mad Genius." And each installment he discusses a new word. The two last ones that caught my eye were Rivered and No Limit.
In Rivered, Mike Caro discussed getting drawn out on and why some of the best players seem to get drawn out on the most.
Simply put, bad players play more hands and most of those are drawing hands.
Winning players are more selective and play less hands. They get drawn out on a lot because they start with much better hands.
In No Limit, Mike Caro talks about the main differences between Limit Hold'em and No Limit and which one is more complex and more skillful. He uses a computer program that he created over two decades ago to prove his theory on which form of poker is more complex and skillful.

1. Thanks for the link: I haven't read Caro's stuff in a long while and good to find him again. He writes very entertainingly and does know poker.
That said, the point is rather obvious, but true. If people go to the river with you, they have a chance to make that miracle hand and give you a bad beat story to remember.
