'LordOdie' submitted this question:
I have been playing on pokerroom for a while now. When I read all the different blogs, I see mentions of lots of different sites, but never pokerroom. They seem to have more tourney's and players, but if all the 'pros' stay clear, should I too?
There isn’t really a simple answer for this. I started playing at PokerRoom years ago, but only for play money, I never deposited real cash there. I moved over to Ultimate Bet for a while, mostly just due to the promotions they were running at the time.
Eventually I started playing on PokerStars, and that is where I prefer to play now, though I have accounts at more than five other sites.
I checked this afternoon, and PokerRoom had 17,000 players currently at tables, PokerStars had 44,000, and PartyPoker had 55,000. That is a big difference when you are looking for game selection and tournament options.
I will throw this question out to the masses though. Where do you play, and why? If you avoid a certain site (like PokerRoom, for example) what are your reasons?
If you have a question of your own, please feel free to submit them in comments or through this link. It may take a few days for a response, but we will answer as many as possible.

1. I too started at the PokerRoom play money tables (and accumulated it to 250,000 play money chips). Then I moved over to Party Poker for real money. Ever since then, I have played at a couple of different sites. This is mostly due to being a bonus whore. The order in which I prefer to play them goes,
1) Full Tilt
2) Poker Stars
3) Ultimate Bet
4) Bodog
5) Crypto network (Will Hill, Littlewoods, Poker Plex, UKBet, Totalbet)
The places that I refuse to play at are...
1) iPoker network (Noble, Titan, Kiwi Casino, CD Poker) - I can't stand their software and their game selection is terrible
2) Old Party skins (Multipoker, Intertops, Eurobet, Empire) - AWFUL support and rock garden.
3) PokerRoom - highest rake and I abhor their software
And lastly, I am indefferent about Party Poker. They have one of the worst customer services available, but their games are just too juicy for me to refuse to play there.
