Scotty Nguyen recently signed a sponsorship deal with an Oklahoma casino. He’s going to help promote poker at Cherokee Casinos. They own five casinos in Oklahoma but the casinos in West Siloam, Roland, and Tulsa are the only ones with poker rooms.Scotty’s deal requires him to wear Cherokee Casino gear at all final table appearances. He also has to promote their poker room throughout the United States.
There are other requirements to his agreement. Scotty is going to host several seminars on poker strategy. He‘s going to play poker in their casinos and provide poker tips to the dealers and local players.
The casino is also hosting a Scotty Nguyen Poker Challenge. Click on the below link for more details.

1. I'm a bit frustrated with Cherokee Casino. Their website primarily focuses on their largest casino, in Tulsa. The West Siloam Springs casino is the closest to me, but is far enough away that I only go on occasional weekends. They were supposed to start having tournaments there but the website never gave any details.
Finally, I called the poker room and learned they were having tournaments on Saturdays. A couple of weeks later I got a Saturday off work and drove to the Siloam casino. Surprise! Half of the poker area was full of slot machines, and the other half only had blackjack and Three Card Poker.
I went home and checked their website which had been updated: http://www.cherokeecasino.com/event_calendar/event_details/snwss.htm and said that they were supposed to have a tournament at the moment I was there, and Scotty Nguyen himself was supposed to be there.
So, did they remove poker from the West Siloam casino, and not put it on their website? Or did they move poker into a new hidden room somewhere off of the casino floor, and not put on their website?
