The Italian Police must have been trained by the NYPD because they raided a poker tournament last weekend. This tournament was the European Ranking Festival in Amalfi. This raid happened during day four of the poker festival. The final table for the Pot Limit Omaha event was about to take place when the Italian police raided Hotel Club Due Torri.
This hotel was the location of the five day festival. The police immediately stopped all play. The crowd was not happy when the event was cancelled. Supposedly, the poker festival was illegal.
