Minh Ly Wins Doyle Brunson Event

Minh Ly Minh Ly won the World Poker Tour’s Doyle Brunson North American Poker Championship at the Bellagio yesterday. He beat out Dan Harrington in heads up play.

He actually bad beated Dan in the final hand to win. He had J-3 versus Dan’s A-5 and flopped a 3. Minh won $1,060,000 for first place. Action Dan took home $620,730 for second place.

Minh is known to play in some of the biggest cash games in the world. He plays in the Big Game with Doyle Brunson, Chau Giang and Chip Reese. Minh doesn’t play in too many tournaments. He just started to play in more of them.

Minh recently lost a heads up battle to Doyle Brunson at this year’s World Series of Poker. That win gave Doyle his 10th WSOP bracelet.
