It is difficult to wrap up something like this because there is always more to say. As detailed as I tried to be, I could go on for months about additional aspects of the game. Thanks again to those who took the time to read this.
It doesn’t end here though. I will continue to expand on tournament theory in posts each week – focusing specifically on individual elements of tournament play. If you are having difficulty with certain aspects of your game, feel free to leave questions or comments so it can be put out there for discussion.
For me, the process of becoming a better tournament player began by recognizing my faults and having the desire to do something about them. I broke my game down bit-by-bit and worked at it. Every year I look back on the last and can clearly see the mistakes I made, and I expect that to continue. In a year from now, I would like to look back on this and be able to add much more to it.
The biggest point I tried to make in all this is: Learning to become a better tournament player is a process. There is no magical formula or overnight solution. You have to take the necessary steps involved in learning (and re-learning) individual aspects of the game.
What works for some professionals or other players may not work for you. Define your own style of play. No one person is always right, so don’t be afraid to go against the grain. Develop your own strategy and think outside of the box. For example, many people say the only way to make the final table is to be extremely aggressive. I am living proof that isn’t true.
Above all else, strive for consistency. The money should follow.

This was a great series on Online Tourney Poker. I myself started playing SNG's and overtime moved over to playing only MTT's, which I enjoy a whole lot more (I've been slowly...oh gawd...ever so slowly, improving). I wish there was more to read and I'm anxiously looking forward to your next post on OPT's and I'll hopefully see you on the digital felt for the Pokerstars Blogger Tourney this weekend!
