Police Raid NYC Poker Club

Mike McDThe NYPD raided another underground poker room in Manhattan. The Broadway Club has been shut down. The raid happened on Friday night and 13 employees were arrested. The cops reportedly seized $56,000 in cash from the club.

The Broadway Club employees will face charges on promoting gambling. In New York State, it’s not illegal to play poker for money but it is illegal to profit from promoting it.

This club was located in the Flatiron District of NYC. I’ve never been to this club before so I have no point of reference as to the type of clientele but supposedly this club had a few shady members. It was reported that a member recently flashed a gun at the club.

Friday night’s bust is one of the many raids that have occurred this year. The cops have closed down several poker rooms in the city. In May, the police raided the two most popular underground poker clubs. Click on the below link for more details on the new raid.
