William Hill, an online sports book, had to close down betting on who will be the next actor to portray James Bond. They stopped action because the betting was getting heavy on Daniel Craig to win. This guy used to date former supermodel Kate Moss.

Craig is an English actor who’s been in movies with Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Tom Hanks and Paul Newman. If the rumors are true, he will be the first blonde James Bond. The new Bond flick will be called Casino Royale. It starts filming in January 2006.

There’s been a lot of speculation on who would get picked for the role, but it looks like Daniel has won out. Even MSNBC is reporting that this is a done deal.

Casino Royale is the 21st James Bond film and it will be directed by Martin Campbell. Martin directed Pierce Brosnan’s first Bond movie in 1995 (GoldenEye).
