Singapore recently launched a website for problem gamblers. The government is trying to address concerns over a possible rise in bankruptcies and gambling addiction. They‘re doing so to be pre-emptive. Two casinos will be opening up over there in a few years.The National Council on Problem Gambling website has a "self-test" on it. They also have stories from gambling addicts and information on where to seek help and treatment. The government is looking to cut down on gambling addiction amongst their citizens.
This is pretty much a public education campaign. The National Council will also use newspaper advertisements, radio talk shows and television programs to inform the public about the dangers of gambling addiction. Click on the below article for more details.
