Casino Games: Let It Ride

letitrideGo to any casino and you will see the tables usually offer much more than just blackjack or Hold'em. One of the popular game is Let It Ride. This is a poker-style casino game based on five-card stud, and the goal is to get the highest-ranking hand possible.

The game starts with the player making three identical bets. After this the dealer gives each player three cards and deals two community cards face down. The player then decides how strong their starting hand is, and whether they should remove a bet or let is ride. The dealer will then turn one of the two community cards face up, and the player again decides if they should remove a bet or continue to let it ride again.

The minimum winning hand is a pair of tens, and the cards you end up with determine your payout. Though it may vary from casino to casino, as an example:

  • A pair of tens or better will earn you 1:1
  • Two pair 2:1
  • Three of a kind: 3:1
  • Straight: 5:1
  • Flush: 8:1
  • Full House: 11:1
  • Four of a kind: 50:1
  • Straight Flush: 200:1
  • Royal Flush: 1000:1
