Freddy Deeb won the World Poker Tour’s Aruba event this weekend. He entered the final day as the chip leader and eventually took home $1million for the victory. Freddy has made several final tables in the past but has never won a WPT event until yesterday. Go check out BJ Nemeth’s recap over at Card Player Magazine. During heads up play, Freddy Deeb took down a 20 year old internet player named Josh Schlein. Josh was allowed to play in this event because the gambling age in Aruba is 18.
Freddy had the chip advantage when heads up action began but eventually lost it to Josh. In the biggest hand of the tournament, Deeb got the chip lead back when he won a huge pot with a pair of fours against Josh’s pocket threes.
